Your First Visit
We are so happy that you have chosen us as your dental home! We want you to feel right at home starting with your first visit.
We all lead busy lives, and we recognize that your time is valuable. If you are pressed for time during the week, please download our new patient paperwork, complete it at your convenience and bring it to your first appointment. Doing this eliminates the need to arrive 15-20 minutes early to your initial appointment.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly, professional staff. Once you are called back, our dental assistant will go over your medical and dental history and ask you about any problems that you might be experiencing. We will take X-rays if needed. We often recommend a full set of X-rays including panoramic and bitewings so we can look at the bone structure for defects, cysts or tumors. We also look for signs of decay that can’t be seen by the naked eye.
An oral cancer screening is part of your examination, and we’ll also look for cavities and other hidden problems.
One of the most important aspects of this appointment is getting to know you, and giving you a chance to get to know Dr. Ted Kimball. Dr. Kimball doesn’t like patients to feel rushed. You’ll have ample time to discuss your concerns and treatment goals. We will develop a treatment plan designed to meet your unique needs.
Unless you are in need of significant dental treatment, you will receive a professional teeth cleaning during your appointment.
Our staff will file all necessary insurance paperwork for you.
Emergency Cases
If your first visit to us is due to an injury or other dental issue, take comfort in knowing that getting you out of pain is our top priority. Dr. Kimball will address the problem and provide antibiotics and pain medication if necessary.
